Asp gridview rowupdating event not firing Adult cams in peoria
I'd like to fire a server-side event by implementing the Item Command. So the code of my Rad Grid looks as follows: The problem is that the Item Command event doesn't get fired unless I enable the "Enable Post Back On Row Click" property on the Client Settings.Thx Hello Juri, As far as I know grid server events won't fire if we use client-side binding, unless we set the "Enable Post Back On Row Click" property to true. Is there another way for gaining the client-side mechanisms such as asynchronous paging and data fetching (through webservice) and having actions etc.So one suggestion is to delete the record is, attach a handler to grid's client event and check for the commandname whether it is delete or not. So basically what you're telling me is that if you want to use ajax-enabled grid with client-side binding you have to do EVERYTHING over the webservice. post back just normally to the server as you would expect from a standard grid?
Today was spent mostly tackling the Grid View’s Update/Edit functionality, and I got incredibly frustrated, at first. So be sure to rebind your Grid View at the end of your event handler. I’ve got a pretty good handle on it as I’ve been doing it for several years, and can help with a lot, but I definitely don’t claim to know everything.
Basically, I was trying to convert an existing data-display-only Grid View (ie, no special functions) into one where I can update a field, namely the inventory for displayed products. New Edit Index 'set to selected row Bind Grid View() ' your own subroutine that you use to bind your datagrid End Sub Protected Sub Grid View1_Row Canceling Edit(By Val sender As System.
After working with Data Grids so efficiently, I was scared that Grid Views were going to be a million times more complex.
I don't like to do this however since then, every click on the row causes a postback which I don't really like.
Can somebody give me a hint of what I'm doing wrong?
